What do you think of the school district’s vote to “opt-out” of state-required standardized testing?

  1. I agree, enough is enough.
  2. I might agree if I knew what the replacement plan was.
  3. I disagree.
  4. Ihave no children in the system.
  5. Other.

Where is the plan? Where is the leadership? To take a stance putting in question the futures of students progressing to higher secondary levels of education or job qualifications is not leadership. It is simply folly.

But history does repeat itself if poor leaders allow repetition to try to determine different outcomes.

I give you the decisions of a school board in 1960 in Ft. Myers going against the RULES. While this is a different set of events, the outcome will be the same. The people who the local government is in place to serve and protect will pay, and pay.

I believe option "d" is not appropriate for this survey. I certainly have an opinion even though I have only grandchildren in the school system. And someone without children in the system can have a legitimate view of the chaos the district now faces.
