To the editor:
As a school teacher for the Lee County School District, I would like to share my endorsement of fellow educator, Andy Coy, in the Lee County Commission race of District 4.
I have talked with Andy personally about issues affecting Lee County and I can assure you that he is the only candidate who has proven his care and concern for Lee County's quality of life through his 30 years of local, public service. He is committed to protecting our quality of life in Lee County and ensuring that our Gulf Coast never resembles the East Coast of Florida. He wants to restore the honor of the Conservation 20/20 Program and wants school impact fees to be restored.
For any voters who may still be on the fence about this race, consider the following analogy: If you were hiring someone to paint your house, would you hire the painter who has consistently stated that it would be a part time job for him; the painter who only started his craft a few months ago; or the painter who had been in the business for over 30 years (and who had painted your house in the past and done an honest, remarkable job)?
The answer is clear to anyone. I hope you will join me on Aug. 26 in re-turning Andy Coy back to the Lee County Board of Commissioners, District 4.
