Debbie Jordan would be a breath of fresh air to Lee County Government . She would bring a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from working and living in Lee County.
Debbie has lived in Lee county some 40 years. She is an experienced leader, active in both business and civic communities. She has worked often with the current leaders in county and state government. She has the ability to work across the aisle and get things done.
As a parent, she raised and educated her four children in Lee County schools and local colleges. She participated in PTA and volunteered in various youth groups and mentored. She is currently on the Advisory Board of Edison College, and serves as chair of ACT-SO (Academic Technology and Science Olympic Youth Group).
She is a previous business owner and past member of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce. Debbie understands the needs of business in Florida and has a wealth of experience in the tourist and service industry. She is a past president of Lee/Charlotte Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. As a co-founder and producer of the River and Blues Festival for the past 20 years she has produced thousands of dollars for charities.
Debbie cares about the environment, and has worked to advance the discussion and planning of land use, development, transportation and traffic safety.
She supports effective water use and management to care for rivers, which ultimately affect our way of life, our waterway, our beaches,and our tourist industry.
Debbie is a past member of Women in Business of Lee County and a past member of Christian Chamber of Lee County.
When I caught up with her on Saturday, she was helping volunteers get petitions signed at a library.She was in between meetings in a busy day's schedule. She is a hard worker and will work as hard for Lee County.
