Florida Everblades fans will have a chance to win a 2013-14 VIP Group Package as the team launches its "Operation Paperboy" fan competition for November and December.
The competition is simple: fans visit the Everblades offices at Germain Arena Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., to register and pick up boxes of 2013-14 Blades pocket schedules. They then visit local retail and tourist businesses and ask permission to leave a box of schedules at their counter or front desk.
If permission is granted, the fan will then take a picture and send it to the Blades' front office.
The fan that delivers to the most businesses by Dec. 20 wins a VIP Group Package, valued at $250. Second place earns a $25 Germain Arena gift certificate; third prize is an Everblades autographed gift pack.
On the ice, the Everblades (8-3) began a three-game divisional road trip Thursday night with the defending South Division champion Gwinnett Gladiators (3-8) at Gwinnett Center.
The two teams play a rematch at 7:05 p.m. Friday before the Everblades travel to South Carolina for a Saturday matchup against the division-leading Stingrays (9-2). Currently, the Blades are two points behind the Stingrays in the standings.
The Blades return home to Germain Arena on Nov. 22 against the Orlando Solar Bears.
