70 single-family home permits
pulled in Lee County in October
During October, contractors pulled 70 permits to build single-family houses collectively valued at nearly $19.8 million in unincorporated Lee County. That compares to 51 permits issued in September and 42 issued in October 2012, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development.
Also during October, 44 multi-family units were permitted, compared to 18 in September and 12 in October 2012.
General commercial activity was valued at nearly $7.7 million for 15 permits. In comparison, commercial permits were valued at nearly $2 million in September and nearly $1.3 million in October 2012.
Lee County Community Development issued 3,389 permits of all kinds during October.
Lee County Community Development oversees planning, zoning, development and building services, environmental review, building inspection, and code enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Lee County.
