Stevens Construction selected to build

Landmark Hospital

of Southwest Florida

Stevens Construction has been selected as the construction manager for Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida, a 50-bed, long-term acute care facility, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Located on Goodlette-Frank Road, in Naples, Fla., the 86,676-square-foot, three-story hospital will specialize in wound care, low-tolerance rehabilitation, mechanical ventilation and treatments. Landmark Hospital will also offer programs for post-stroke, post-surgery and post-cardiac patients.

The first floor of Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida will be shell space available for lease. The second floor of the hospital will accommodate operating rooms, conference rooms, CT scan and administrative offices. The third floor will feature a ten-bed intensive care unit, ten-bed progressive care unit and 30 medical and surgical beds.

Lee BIA Builders Care finalist in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program

Lee Building Industry Association's Builders Care is one of the 250 finalists in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public beginning Oct. 1, 2013.

Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five nonprofit organizations each day for 50 days at Facebook.com/Toyota. Visitors to the page will enter votes each day to select two separate winning organizations they feel are most deserving of new Toyota vehicles. Lee BIA Builders Care will be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting on Oct. 29, 2013.

Builders Care is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Building Industry Association. Its objective is to provide emergency repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged people who are unable to obtain home repairs through traditional means. Builder's Care enlists the volunteer services of Lee BIA members and leverages grants and donated materials to provide construction and remodeling services to qualified homeowners throughout LeeCounty.

Group begins work

on I-75 FDOT project

Wright Construction Group has started construction on a new public safety facility and rest area at Mile Marker 63 on I-75 in Collier County. The Florida Department of Transportation selected Wright Construction as the design/builder for this project that will provide the public a greater measure of emergency protection on "Alligator Alley."

The work involves: Building a public safety center that will accommodate four to six Collier County EMS personnel, which will help to reduce emergency response times on Alligator Alley; replacement of the existing rest area with a larger restroom facility; increasing the number of restroom facilities from 30 to 44, including the addition of four family restrooms; construction of two recreational access areas adjacent to the Big Cypress National Preserve backcountry trails. Each area will accommodate up to 15 vehicles and 25 trucks or trailers; upgrading the wastewater and water treatment plants; improvements also include site enhancements such as lighting, landscaping and resurfacing; and construction of a16-foot by 30-foot stand-alone storage building.

Completion of the project is expected to be in fall 2014.

The buildings being constructed will be Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified, an internationally recognized certification for environmentally conscious construction.

Robb & Stucky International, a Southwest Florida home furnishings retailer and interior design center, has been awarded a contract to provide total furnishings and interior details for a Mediterranean-style village of coach homes within Fiddler's Creek, a luxury, master-planned community.

Joanne Wilseck, Licensed interior designer and Tricia Lynch, design consultant of Robb & Stucky International are lead designers for the Verona model in Sonoma. The Verona is the upstairs unit and is the largest residence available in Sonoma, encompassing 2,141 air-conditioned square feet. Neal Communities breaks ground on Coastal Key

Neal Communities has broken ground on Coastal Key, a 48-acre gated community adjacent to the Estero Aquatic Preserve in Fort Myers, announced Michael Greenberg, vice president Neal Communities South Region. Located off Summerlin Road at the end of Winkler Road Extension, Coastal Key home prices will begin in the upper $200s.

When completed, the maintenance-included community will have 76 single-family homes of one- and two-story plans, offering views of the nine-acre lake, 17.74 acres of on-site preserves and nearly 40-acres of wetland preserves adjacent to Coastal Key.
