To the editor:
As a resident of Cape Coral since 2007, I am all for progress but I am imploring you to deny the zoning change request that is slated to be voted on March 18 for Ordinance 5-13 ZA 12-0011. This area is one of the last few large parcels of open space in the northwest area of Cape Coral and I don't agree with the zoning change.
I am not even a member of the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife (who brought it to my attention) but feel that this large parcel is an extremely environmentally sensitive wetlands area which should not be subjected to such a zoning change.
Why can't we work with the areas already built up and work to make them more sustainable? Why are you targeting green space?
I hope you will re-consider this.
