To the editor:
While the need for more and more tax dollars seems an ever-constant effort here in Cape Coral, I wonder why it has not been realized that many dollars could be raised from fines on the citizenry for their constantly barking dogs?
Maybe that would be one constructive method to rid us of that one nuisance and at the same time raise some of the revenue to serve our purpose. What say you?
I do believe it would lead to a more quiet and tranquil city - at the least.
While our leadership is hard at work looking for other means to support our tax structure and are intent on hitting us all between the eyes with something new - I hereby submit this idea as my contribution.
