Arriving late for Saturday's game at Mariner had little effect on Community School of Naples, which jumped out in front en route to a 59-45 victory over the Tritons.

Jeff Merton, an NCAA Division I prospect, pitched in 17 points to lead a trio of Seahawks scoring in double figures.

"They are a really good team," said Tritons coach James Harris. "We can't have as many three-point goals as two-point goals and be successful."

The Tritons were limited to 15 field goals, seven of those from three-point range.

Rick Moore converted five threes to finish with a game-high 22 points to lead the Tritons, who had no other double-figure scorer.

"We did not do enough at the rim," said Harris. "We have to clean it up and be ready for Cape Coral on Tuesday."

The Tritons (4-2) host Cape Coral on Tuesday.
