Raydunce, all my info came from the Lee County DOT!

I have all the surveyor maps, Ordinances, emails etc. from Lee County DOT. It is simply not possible to post them in this forum!

FYI I never stated "edge of the road"! Please try to be accurate when making your inane statements!

Cupcake, who told you that the ROW is from the edge of the road?

Once again...cite your source.

Raydunce it makes no sense to even attempt a discussion with you. In your mind you have convinced yourself that you are right.

Have a lovely weekend!

Lynn,

You obviously were unable to find an engineer or surveyor to support your position, so you have done your usual, and disappeared.

In all the years I have seen your posts, i cannot recall one time you admitted you were wrong...sad really.

Cupcake, please cite the County ordinance that authorizes measuring the ROW from the edge of the road.

Lynn, please cite your source. The reason center line is used because the edge is too hard to find.

By your logic, Gary's real estate office, the condos across the street, C of C and the condos west of Gary are all in the County ROW.

If you walk out in the middle of your street, you will find stainless discs in the middle of the road designating the CL of the road for surveyors to establish property lines for new sales...this assumes anyone would buy in your neighborhood, knowing you are there!

Once again, find a Registered Engineer to support your position. If you would like some references, I will be happy to supply them,,,but you will just make a bigger fool of yourself...if that is possible.

Goodnight, Cupcake

Ray

Raydunvant your math needs adjustments. The 100 feet ROW is on each side of the road.

Any way that you measure it, the electronic billboards are a terrible idea. The city already looks less desirable than many others as it is void of trees and mature landscaping. We don't need any more ugliness here. There wouldn't even be a discussion about this in Naples. Wasn't one of the shelved designs for the CRA district to resemble Naples? Downtown Fort Myers is attractive and does not have EBs. We always seem to aim for mediocre in landscaping designs and now signage. Mediocrity in Cape Coral is not a lofty goal but it is reality here.

I suspect the proposed location is on City controlled property outside of the County Right of Way, which is measured from the center-line of the road. The most likely place for such a sign would be before the Aubuchon real estate complex. Along this stretch of the road, the Right of Way is 100 feet.

The road at this point is 80 feet wide, 94 if you include the sidewalks, giving the County about 3 feet more each side.

The rest is within the control of the City and the property owners, including Aubuchon, the C of C and Parks and Recs.

For purposes of accuracy the road coming off the Cape Coral Bridge is shown as Cape Coral Bridge Road on County Maps delineating County Roads. Cape Coral Bridge Road continues to Del Prado Blvd. Thereafter (west of Del Prado Blvd)it is known as Cape Coral Pkwy pursuant to official Maps.

1Sandy I have no idea of whom you spoke to but your information is totally inaccurate. There is absolutely no portion of Cape Coral Pkwy before Del Prado Blvd that is a City road!

I have the maps, County Ordinance etc, directly from Lee County.

So please spare me your nastiness as I deal in facts ONLY!

Ms.Roscoe please, please get a map and check out how foolish you now look. Only part of the road is County and the City, I checked this out with a phone call, is putting or planning to put, the signs on Cape Coral property that runs off to the side of the road. Next time, before you embarass yourself, again, call City Hall like I did. You are such an uninformed, cynical being, that it isn't funny anymore.
