Well, after last nights gaveling down of a decorated, combat veteran of two wars, I for one have had enough.....enough of Mayor Sullivan. He can try and "buy" all the veteran votes he wants with that phony baloney spectacle of giving a check to the local veterans club, but all I heard last night was the start of a respectful and calm statement by this veteran & Mayoral candidate "laying the blame" which the Mayor took as a violation of Council Chamber rules. Where does the "rules" say that you can't point fingers at the culprit that has caused this infrastructure debacle? What happened to the 1st Amendment that this military veteran had fought to preserve for, even the Mayor, but I guess not for himself, according to Mayor Sullivan. Unfortunately the Council camera was on the speaker during most of this time, can anyone tell me, that was there, how the Mayor was reacting? SULLIVAN was so wrong on so many levels.

Given his disreputable character, does a letter from Kalfus praising the mayor hurt or help him?

Cape guy is looking for a donation?

Are you jealous Sullivan could afford a donation like that.

I know many can't make a donation like that and that is why we hate the forced donations to the charity of this city through over taxation, higher than necessary assessments, subsidy of business expenses like sewer and trash pick up.

Mayor John Sullivan called me saying Ed you'll be getting a call from an Cape Coral drug under cover officer. Then the next day he called me but I prefer not to give that Cape Coral drug under cover officer name. We residents of Cape Coral shouldn't blame our mayor for everything but we should blame city counsel members with our mayor

Sullivan's reference was made about other residents not himself. But Linda we can always count on you to misconstrue just about anything which you are arguing against. Sullivan is possibly the best mayor this city has in representing ALL of the residents in the city. Sullivan's comment at Christmas about children asking for food over toys for themselves tells a truer story of the state of the city. A city that has spearheaded Charter schools but wants to promote itself to attracting retirees instead of a balanced community. A city that going after retirees on fixed incomes incomes and wants to saddle them with a tax on electric and a fire districts already costing $25 million. The double whammy comes with an increased property value and this tax. Even with this increase in revenue it will be spent on feathering the nests of those already over compensated. Wait till the really party begins with not having enough money to supply those pumped up inflated city pensions.

What's really bizarre is..only last year, Sullivan was crying about eating "CAT FOOD". Now,we really know who was eating the Steak dinners. Sept is coming soon enough..Cummings and Ashby will make a nice run against each other
