What connection does an electric pst have with water-sewer rates? If it is to subsidize the electric bill of the production plants than it would have to be in effect for a long time because I don't have water sewer and so would want the subsidy in place for me too. For that I may support it.

If they restart UEP and dont make it affordible, many will foreclose and others will just struggle leaving the CC quality of life behind. Business will then suffer big time

"Restart the UEP, solve all these issues." Wrong it will just compound the problem. These Clowns haven't gotten it right since the get go, and all the money is gone and the property owners got crap for it. Plus we are still paying more and more for their screwups.

The $800,000 error in the budget needs to be reduced to zero to bring in a true balanced budget. Each and every department in the city needs to be examined and called on to cut whatever dollars created the $800,000 bump in the budget. And if it is the 12 police officers do not tell the public this will completely shut down two entire department within the police department. Funny how when a city goes into receivership the receiver can cut 50% in existing pensions, 50% in current wages, and the departments police and fire still function. Maybe the receiver in Central Falls Rhode Island will provide the secret to their success!

This is just more proof of the idiocy that exists in Cape Coral. They are asking people that pay their high water and sewer rates to pay a tax to lower their water and sewer rate. This is a classic example of the total ineptitude of the Cape Coral City government. They need to be forced out of the water and sewer business.

Taxes and water rates both need to be lowered otherwise businesses and individuals will not choose to locate in Cape Coral. They are too high now.

They are just trying to get more money. The water situation need to be fixed not more money spent by the same individuals that screwed it up in the first place.
