John R. Wood Island Palm Region announces Cape Coral top producers for April

John R. Wood Properties, Island Palm Region, has announced its two top producers for the month of April.

The Top Pending & Closed Sales associate is Frank Ehrhardt.

A Chicago native, Ehrhardt spent 10 years in Los Angeles prior to discovering Cape Coral in 2010. The city, he said, reminded him of the suburbs of Chicago where he grew-up and he decided to make this his permanent home with his wife Jolie, their son, Frankie, and their rescued golden retriever Lucy. He brings with him a diverse background, which includes starting his career as a CPA with Ernst & Young, starting two very successful businesses (Everything Nautical and Your Marketing Division) and being an avid investor and flipper of real estate.

Local MLS launches website for virtual open houses and showings in Lee County

The Florida Gulf Coast Multiple Listing Service has launched a new website that allows homebuyers and Realtors to easily find and schedule virtual open houses and showings in Lee County.

The site is operated by the Florida Gulf Coast Multiple Listing Service and the Royal Palm Coast Realtor Association of Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

Traditional open houses are not currently allowed to be advertised in the local MLS, based on guidance received from Florida Realtors and the National Association of Realtors in late March.

Demand for virtual viewings increased sharply with the onset of the pandemic and area Realtors responded quickly. Virtual showings had previously been more popular with out-of-state buyers but are now the preferred method for local consumers to shop for a new home as well.

The new virtual open house tool includes a multi-dimensional search feature where buyers and Realtors can look for open houses by date, price range, location and other criteria.

Neal Communities announces sales close-out at two Fort Myers communities

Neal Communities, a Southwest Florida private home builder, has announced the close-out of two Fort Myers communities -- Watermark and Coconut Cove.

Watermark, a 106-acre community with lakes and preserves, has approximately 300 residences, a mix of single-family homes and villas. The 11 floorplans range from 1,434 to 3,346 square feet with sale prices from the $200,000s.
