Island Doctors office to hold Patient Appreciation Open House Tuesday

Island Doctors will be holding a Patient Appreciation Open House Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to introduce and discuss new health improvement options and care that the office now offers in Lee County.

Attendees will have the chance to win door prizes.

The Island Doctors office is located at 2354 Surfside Blvd., Suite D-103, in Cape Coral.

Marina at Cape Harbour to host Holiday Magic and Snow Festival

The Marina at Cape Harbour is holding a Holiday Magic and Snow Festival Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16.

Friday's activities include a visit from Santa from 6-8 p.m., a bounce house and live entertainment by Silver Sneakers from 6-10 p.m. Toys will also be collected for the children of the Bahamas still recovering from Hurricane Dorian.

On Saturday, Santa will again be on hand -- and available for photos, from 7-9 p.m., and there will be a snow slide and snow playground, an arts and crafts table, face painting, Kona Ice shaved ice, a pizza stand, hot dogs, live music by Wildfire from 6-10 p.m., and more.

Fair at Fenway South to open

The Fair at Fenway South, a Southwest Florida tradition, returns to JetBlue Park this week.

The family-friendly Fair at Fenway South takes place over three weekends: Nov. 8-10; Nov. 15-17; and Nov. 22-24. Gates open at 5 p.m. on Fridays and at 1 p.m. on weekend days, and the fair closes each night at 11 p.m. (Schedule and attractions are subject to change due to weather.)

Attendees will find all their fair favorites, with easy access and plenty of on-site parking at JetBlue Park. This year, the Fair at Fenway features even more free entertainment, new amusement rides, delicious fair food, and challenging games of skill.

The midway will be packed with games, prizes, fun, and, of course, fair food.

Half-price, buy-one-get-one admission coupons, discount ride bracelets, Family 4-Packs, and other advance purchase deals are available at www.fairatfenway.com.

Once again this year, the Fair at Fenway is proud to donate a portion of the proceeds to the not-for-profit Jordan Schuman Foundation for Kindness.

Chick-fil-A offers free meals to veterans, active military personnel

Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Fort Myers and Naples area will offer a free meal to active military personnel, veterans (with valid military identification) and their immediate family from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11. The free offer includes a choice of a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich Meal, Grilled Chicken Sandwich Meal, Chick-fil-A Nuggets Meal (8-Count) or Nuggets Kid's Meal (4-Count).

"We invite all veterans and active military personnel to enjoy a complimentary meal with their family on us as a token of our appreciation for their service," said Billy Cossette, franchise operator of Chick-fil-A at 1790 N.E. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.

The free offer is limited to one meal per active military personnel, veteran, or family member, and only valid on Nov. 11, from 5-7 p.m. at participating Lee and Collier County Chick-fil-A restaurants only.
