Residents can learn about the latest and greatest regarding Cape Coral development on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the ninth annual Catch the Vision.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. at Cape Christian Fellowship.

For those interested in what's happening in this growing city, it's a can't miss event, featuring high production value with cameras and screens, a trade show with nearly two dozen vendors and much more.

"It's a look forward to the year 2020, showcasing new projects, new developments and employment opportunities that are going to be created by development in Cape Coral," said organizer Gloria Tate of Raso Realty.

Hi Fidelity Studios will take attendees on location to the development sites and emcee to make sure all projects are discussed. It isn't about how many homes have been sold for what price, it's much more broadbased.

"It's for more than just the real estate industry. It's for anyone who lives here and wants to know what's coming to their neighborhood," Tate said.

For example, people who live on Cornwallis where they tore down Christ Lutheran Church will be given a presentation that night for a potential project on those seven acres of land. There also will be presentations on projects on Veterans Parkway and Pine Island Road.

Mayor Joe Coviello and pastor Cory Demmel will kick things off with some comments before the presentation.

There also will be a resource guide put together that has features the 13 sponsors and 22 vendors participating in the trade show as well as useful information from the city, such as phone numbers of staff and local legislators, maps of the parks, zoning maps, flood information and much more.

The new Nissan dealership will have a car outside the event to signify its opening.

From a show that started in 2010 with a small gathering and a PowerPoint presentation, Catch the Vision has grown over this decade into a full-blown, fast-paced production with up to 700 people in attendance. You could miss something if you're not paying attention.

Tickets are $20 and include a light meal and color program book with lots of helpful information, the vendor trade show, raffles and the sponsors who will have goodies.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Cape Coral Caring Center and its Thanksgiving and Christmas food drives.

Cape Christian Fellowship is at 2110 Chiquita Blvd.

You can also buy a ticket by going to Raso Realty, 4812 Cape Coral Pkwy.
