Chloe, Elizabeth Maiya Caleb, Hayden, Noah and Ryan designed and implemented a service project to help the community.

The students decided they wanted to help local animal shelters. They set up donation boxes in the school office, set up a donation drop-off at a trunk-or-treat event and even held lemonade stands and were able to purchase two expensive kuranda pet beds as well as gift cards for the shelter animals and workers.

In addition to the monetary gifts and the pet beds, the students collected fabric donations and made more than 100 fleece tie blankets for the animals to lie on and have in their cages.

The students were able to collect more than 300 cans of dog food, many large bags of dry pet food, collars, leashes, harnesses and treats that filled more than 20 boxes and required three cars for transport.
