What is in the water here in Southwest Florida?

April 12, 2019
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

We appear to live in a fact-free world where, despite not one complete sentence being released from the Mueller report, people are writing letters to the editor assert that President Trump is "completely exonerated;" that the investigators, largely appointed Republicans, are all corrupt and out to get him; and that the criminality and incompetence surrounding him is a vast Clinton conspiracy.

Only here can a governor in bed with industrial polluters and sitting on top of a fortune looted from a criminal health insurance scam go from the Governor's Office directly to the Senate, to be put in charge of the Republicans health care planning.

Only in Florida can a utility company insert language into a referendum that is titled "solar power initiative" that tries to trick voters into severely restricting solar power development.

Actually, we know what is in the water, and lots of it comes from the sugar fields that use Lake Okeechobee as a convenient toilet.
