Maverick Grille grand openings set

Maverick Grille has opened three new restaurants in Lee County and grand opening celebrations will be held at each Saturday, Nov. 10.

The celebration at the Cape location at 1402 Del Prado Blvd., S., will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Normal operating hours for the Cape restaurant are 1:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday.

Two stores in Fort Myers, at 3398 Forum Blvd., and 4480 Fowler St., will hold their grand openings at 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 1-3 p.m., respectively.

The Gathering Table fashion show Saturday at Anthony's on the BLVD

The Gathering Table in Cape Coral will be holding a fashion show at Anthony's on the BLVD, at 1303 Del Prado Blvd., S., in Cape Coral, this Saturday, Nov. 10, starting at 11:30 a.m.

The Gathering Table is a coffee shop boutique that offers coffee drinks, baked goods, women's clothing, shoes and accessories, local artists on consignment and meeting space for community groups.

Located at 601 Del Prado Blvd., N., The Gathering Place is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information, call 239-872-2925.

Lee County VCB seeking Chrysalis Awards nominations

The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau is seeking nominations for the 10th annual Chrysalis Awards Celebration of Business & Tourism.

The VCB and the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce organize the luncheon and trade show, which will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa.

The Chrysalis awards recognize the value of tourism and community teamwork in maintaining and enhancing tourism as a major economic engine for Lee County. The awards represent an opportunity for Lee County community members and businesses to recognize the dedication and hard work by tourism partners.

The event also corresponds with National Travel and Tourism week, May 5-11, 2019, when travel and tourism professionals across the country unite to celebrate the value travel holds for businesses and the economy.

Southwest Florida Yachts and Florida Sailing & Cruising School move to new office

Southwest Florida Yachts and Florida Sailing & Cruising School have a new office location and address within the Promenade at Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral.

The new office address is 5991 Silver King Blvd., Unit 108, Cape Coral. There are no changes to telephone numbers or web addresses for either company.

Co-owners Barb and Vic Hansen will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of Southwest Florida Yachts and Florida Sailing & Cruising School in 2019.
