Juniper Village residents using Skype to connect with family members

September 14, 2018
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

It can be difficult staying in touch with loved ones, especially when you're roughly 2,000 miles away from each other. That was the case with Mary, one of the beloved residents at Juniper Village at Cape Coral. For her, staying connected meant a phone call to her family about once a week, but she longed for something more. Thankfully, using Skype technology, Mary was able to have a meaningful face to face conversation - without the airfare. "It's like you're here with me," Mary said as she reached out and touched her son on the screen. The distance between them was quickly forgotten as they talked, sharing new experiences and fond memories. The best part? Skype video chat is completely free, so Mary can talk with her family anytime. Cue the tears! Juniper Village at Cape Coral, an assisted living community, is located at 4920 Viceroy Court, Cape Coral.
