Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife to meet Sept. 11

September 7, 2018
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

The Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife will hold its first meeting of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. Wondering what you can do to make a difference? Are you concerned about the water situation? Are you worried how our gopher tortoises and burrowing owls are faring in the face of exploding development?

Join the Friends earlier, at 6:30 p.m., to network and hear ideas from your fellow friends of Mother Earth. Following the networking session, there will be a brief annual membership meeting. (The public is welcome.)

The guest speaker will be Toni Westland, supervisory refuge manager at the J.N. "Ding" Darling Na-tional Wildlife Refuge. She will give an interesting update on the Sanibel Island refuge and share information about fun and informative upcoming events.

The meeting is at Rotary Park Environmental Center, 5505 Rose Garden Road, Cape Coral.
