Gulf Coast Humane Society to host 2nd Annual Paw-rites of the Caribbean Golf Tournament

The Gulf Coast Humane Society will hold its 2nd Annual Paw-rites of the Caribbean Golf Tournament Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Del Tura Country Club on U.S. 41 in North Fort Myers.

The event will kick off with registration and a continental breakfast at 7:15 a.m., a shot-gun start will put the tournament into high gear at 8:30 a.m. Lunch and an awards ceremony will follow.

Entrance fee is $40 per player which includes breakfast, green fees and cart, lunch and awards ceremony as well as plenty of pirate pit stops throughout the day.

The tournament is a four-person captain's scramble.

All teams are welcome, and individuals will be paired with other players.

Prizes include Guaranteed Winner Cruise Packages for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin, Trips, Hole in One Prizes and a raffled off shot at 1 million, plus much more pirate booty for the taken.

The tournament is presented by Grace Advisory Group and proceeds from this event will go to support the Gulf Coast Humane Society to supply a 2nd chance fund, to help animals that need surgeries before getting adopted, we are also funding beds for the shelter.

Gulf Coast Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization established as the first non-profit animal welfare organization in southwest Florida in 1947. The shelter does not receive any federal, state or county funding and no funding from the Humane Society of the United States or ASPCA. The organization relies solely on donations, grants, bequests and fundraising events to further itys mission of caring for the neglected and abandoned pets of Southwest Florida.

As? a no-kill facility, the pets of the Gulf Coast Humane Society remain in the facility's care until they find their forever home.
