Race for State Attorney:Check the box for Fox

July 20, 2018
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor,

Amira Fox is a tough, fair prosecutor and a skilled administrator, who will be a great State Attorney for our five-county 20th Judicial Circuit. She has almost 30 years in the criminal justice system, serving currently as the Chief Assistant State Attorney. Amira is highly respected as an outstanding trial attorney and strong leader in the legal community and the community at large. She and her husband Mike, a 30-year law enforcement veteran, have successfully raised four children.

Lee Sheriff Mike Scott and the other four active sheriffs for Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties have endorsed Amira Fox to be our next State Attorney because of the great working relationships she has built with law enforcement and the community. These partnerships have resulted in the 20th Judicial Circuit having the lowest crime rate of all 20 judicial circuits for each of the last six years.

With over 40 years as a prosecutor, including the last 16 as your State Attorney for Southwest Florida, I have worked with and supervised many hundreds of prosecutors past and present. Amira Fox is clearly the most qualified person and my choice to be elected State Attorney in the Aug. 28, 2018 Republican Primary. Please join me in "checking the box for Fox."
