Water service restored to customers in northwest Cape Coral

City crews worked quickly and have repaired the 10-inch water main break, which interrupted service to homes, schools and businesses in several locations in the northwest Cape. A precautionary boil water notice will be in effect until clearance is received from the Lee County Health Department.

A 10-inch water main break has interrupted service to homes, schools and businesses in several locations in the northwest Cape. This includes the Publix shopping center at Burnt Store Road and Pine Island Road, Mariner Middle and High schools, Lee County Public Library, Christa McAuliffe Elementary, Jim Jeffers Park, Blue Water Coach homes, and other locations.

Water is expected to be off up to four hours, a release issued by the city of Cape Coral at 1 p.m. states.
