Eva’s Closet & Foundation’s back-to-school supply drive Saturday at Palm City Brewing

Eva's Closet & Foundation, a not-for-profit organization devoted to providing necessities to children, families, and local schools in need in Southwest Florida, is hosting its Back-to-School Fundraiser Saturday, July 14, from noon to 10 p.m., at Palm City Brewing, 7887 Drew Circle, Suite 130, Fort Myers, FL 33967.

Guests will experience the fun environment of Palm City Brewing, including face painting, Palm City Brewing Sour Beer Releases, Food Coma food truck, live music with Premium Rock and raffle prize items.

Eva's Closet will be collecting new backpacks and back-to-school supplies at the event. Guest will receive a free beer if they bring a new backpack filled with three back-to-school supply items; for example: notebooks, crayons, markers, highlighters, facial tissue packs, etc., or a $15 gift card for WalMart or Target.

Eva's Closet and Foundation provides essential items and necessities to children and families in need in Southwest Florida, including, but not limited to, foster children, domestic violence victims, migrant farm workers, human trafficking victims, and homeless children and families.

Eva's Closet also aids Title 1 schools in need in Southwest Florida. The organization provides clothing, school uniforms, shoes, household items, food, financial assistance and baby supplies at no cost, as well as case management and referral and supportive services.

The agency currently assists approximately 1,000 clients per month. Eva's Closet and Foundation is located at 16331 Old U.S. 41, #101, Fort Myers, FL 33912.

Eva's Closet & Foundation is named after the founder's great aunt, Eva Engel, who was a founder of a shelter for abused women and children in Worcester, Massachusetts.
