Kaufman Lynn Construction names Root regional senior vice president

Full-service construction firm, Kaufman Lynn Construction, has announced that industry veteran Daniel Root has been named regional senior vice president of its office in Southwest Florida.

Root started working with KL five years ago as a project executive and took on roles of increasing responsibility since then. In his new role, Root will be responsible for the overall management and strategic planning of the company's construction projects throughout the region. His goals for the new office are to expand the firm's reach on Florida's West Coast and grow his team to support KL's new projects following the successful completion of Moorings Park at Grey Oak in Naples. Other KL projects underway in the Gulf Coast area include: Springs at Hammock Cove, Springs at Port Charlotte, Addison Place in Naples and the Erickson Senior Living Sales Center in Naples.

Root is a third generation builder with more than 25-years of industry experience. Because his father owned a construction company, Root grew up around the craft. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, and then started his career at his father's company where he focused heavily on residential work.

Kaufman and Root are both motivated by Southwest Florida's continued growth, and plan to hire 5-10 more people to support the company's projects in the area by the end of 2018.

Established in 1989, Kaufman Lynn Construction, headquartered in Delray Beach, Fla., has more than 150 employees in Florida, Texas and North Carolina. KL is a full-service commercial construction company with extensive experience in the following market sectors: multi-family housing, office, senior living, hospitality, government/public safety, education (K-12 and University), healthcare, self-storage, industrial, parking garages, cultural, recreation and faith based/non-profit.
