Holden will put Florida first

June 15, 2018

To the editor:

The possibly most important midterm elections of modern times are upon us, and the candidates have started their campaigns. David Holden, is one of the candidates for Francis Rooney's seat in District 19.

David is a very inclusive candidate, who wants to bring forward the changes we so urgently need. He believes in quality healthcare as a human right, a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions, investment in public education, and protection of the livelihood of many here, the southwest Florida gulf coast and waterways.

David wants to put the well-being of Florida residents above partisan politics and has voiced his willingness to work with all parties in Congress to achieve this goal.

Having heard him speak on several occasions, I was looking forward to meet David and his team in person, to get answers on subjects closest to my heart.

I recently attended David's town hall in Cape Coral. I was not only impressed by David, but also by his vibrant, young campaign staff. I believe I saw a great part of our future at this town hall, and it made me happy and hopeful for our future. As a matter of fact, that Saturday's town hall not only convinced me to vote for David in the 2018 midterms, I also signed up as a volunteer for his campaign. When we send David Holden to Washington, our lives here in SWFL will improve. I am looking forward being part of David's positive and inclusive campaign.
