Disrespecting God

May 25, 2018

To the editor:

The Texas school massacre, once again, points out the uselessness of Washington D.C's disingenuous elected officials. Following the murder of defenseless children and others, all we hear is "We've got to do something to stop the carnage." We've heard this over and over again and still nothing is in place to even attempt to solve the problem.

A number of officials even had the nerve to opine "With God's help we will be able to put an end to the senseless killings." Wait a minute, have you conveniently forgotten that you and other nuts agreed to kick God out of all public schools? You sat back and told God to "get out, we no longer approve of prayer in schools and even the mention of God should be outlawed." Now, after you disrespected God, you're asking Him to solve the problem that is 100 percent your responsibility.

We don't need your condolences or your babbling of nonsense. You've been hired to solve problems -in this case, save children -and we expect you to do no less. It's time to put on your big boy pants, put a program in place that will attempt to ensure the safety of our children, stop pointing political fingers, and start being worthwhile.

Oh yes, a good beginning would be to publicly get on your knees and beg for God's forgiveness. Ask Him to come into the minds and hearts of all school administrators and children, begin each day with a prayer to Him, and show Him your plan that you need Him to bless.

I doubt if God will do your work while you disrespect Him and act stupid.

If you are sincere when you say that the children need to be protected, then do it, stop playing, and end the meaningless chatter.
