Baseball

Island Coast 4, Fort Myers 3: The Gators (10-1) scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for the walk-off victory. With the bases loaded, Christian Odio and Jordan Dence had RBI hits before Chase Chatman's game-winning RBI hit. Kevin Rodriguez pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for the win.

Ida Baker 8, SW Florida Christian 3: Tony Rios and Paul Martin drove in two runs each for the Bulldogs (8-5). Rios had two hits, a walk, a stolen base and run scored as well. Mac Moise scored twice, Nick Richir scored three times and Danny Stefanacci doubled, scored twice and had an RBI. Liam Perry allowed three first-inning runs (only one earned), but settled in to pitch six innings for Ida Baker. Blake Donnelly struck out the side in the seventh inning. The Bulldogs play at Mariner on Tuesday.

Three from Island Coast college-bound: Island Coast had three athletes sign college letters of intent on Monday. Bowler Wyatt Smith will be going to Webber International. Drew Lusk signed to play football at Bluefield College, while Gators teammate Derrick Mayes will be attending North Central College.

Softball

Sarasota Riverview 6, North Fort Myers 1; Braden River 13, North Fort Myers 5: The Red Knights lost twice on Saturday in the Sarasota Spring Slam. Sidney Morris pitched against Riverview and Emma Johnson faced Braden River. North Fort Myers (13-3, 8-0 District 6A-11) play Tuesday at Cypress Lake.

Ida Baker 22, Immokalee 2 (5): Four Bulldogs pitchers (Alex Crothers, Spencer Qurollo, Blake Donnelly and Justin Borges) combined on a no-hitter. Danny Stefanacci had four RBI for Ida Baker, along with two hits and a run scored, while Paul Martin (double, stolen base, two runs scored) and AJ Marinello (four hits including a double, two stolen bases, two runs) had drove in three runs each. Alex Rios, Mac Moise, Toby Rios, Chris Rivera and Tucker Mixon had two RBI each. Ida Baker improved to 8-5 with the win.

Softball

North Fort Myers 3, Palmetto 2; North Fort Myers 3, Sarasota 2 (8): The Red Knights (13-1) picked up two victories on Friday. Emma Johnson was the winning pitcher in North's win against Palmetto. In the nightcap, Natavia Ellis drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat Sarasota. Sidney Morris earned the pitching win over the Sailors. On Saturday, North Fort Myers faces Sarasota Riverview at noon and Braden River at 2 p.m.

Baseball

Bishop Verot 3, Mariner 0: Cam Hoines was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored to propel the Vikings (4-7) to the win. Austin Orme drove in the third Bishop Verot run. Meanwhile, Cade Middleton held the Tritons (3-8) to one hit, struck out six and didn't walk a batter in the complete-game shutout.

Lemon Bay 5, Island Coast 0: The Gators (10-1) fell for the first time this season with a non-district defeat at Lemon Bay. Two Manta Rays (7-5) pitchers combined for the shutout.
