Adult Programs

Craft Corner

2 p.m., Mondays, April 2, 9, 23, 30

A casual, self-guided group of knitters and crocheters share ideas, techniques and patterns. Attendees should bring their own projects. Basic supplies available for newcomers. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cape Coral Public Library.

Chess Anyone?

Money Smart Week: Financial Checkup 101: Choosing the Right College Savings

An overview of the various financial options/decisions throughout life. Saving, budgeting, identity protection, using credit wisely, homeownership, investing options and saving for college will all be covered. Registration is required.

Money Smart Week: Budgeting and Saving

Money to Boost Your Credit Score

1 p.m., Thursday, April 26

The program will cover a budgeting process to get you on track to meet personal financial goals. Learn to save no matter what your income level, amount of debt or fear of the process. Learn what credit means, why it is important, how to clean up bad credit and how to establish good credit. Registration is required.

Storytime

Family Storytime

10 a.m., Tuesdays, April 3, 10, 17, 24

Your whole family is invited to this enjoyable, all-ages storytime that encourages the development of prereading skills through songs, rhymes, fingerplays and stories. First come, first served.

Preschool Storytime

11 a.m., Tuesdays, April 3, 10, 17, 24

Your preschooler will continue to build relationships with other kids, books and the library in a storytime designed specifically for them. First come, first served.

Toddler Tales

10 a.m., Wednesdays, April 4, 11, 18, 25

This interactive and active time for toddlers and their caregiver is designed to advance prereading and social skills. They will experience storytelling, wordplay, felt board stories, fingerplays, puppets, singing, music-making, socializing, dancing, and, of course, books. First come, first served.

Baby Rhyme Time

10 a.m., Thursdays, April 5, 12, 19, 26

During this special storytime, you and your baby will learn new nursery rhymes and fingerplays, interact with puppets, sing, read books and dance. First come, first served.

Celebrate Earth Day with STEM-related crafts and activities. All supplies provided by the library. Please register online. Space is limited to 40. For grades K-5. Please dress for mess.

Kids Read Down Fines

1-2 p.m., Saturday, April 21

Children and teens can earn a $2 credit for every 15 minutes they read in the designated area for a total of $8 in one session. Credit may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only and applies only to charges on overdue materials. Please bring your library card.
