Softball

North Fort Myers 12, Estero 1 (5): The Red Knights (10-1) had no trouble in what had looked to be a tough game at Estero (11-2). North had 10 hits. Emma Johnson (6-1) struck out five batters. Sajarie Jones had three hits and scored four runs; Natavia Ellis had two hits and three RBI; Haley Weaver had two hits, two walks and four runs scored; Johnson had two hits and an RBI; Sarah Giompalo had two hits including a triple and an RBI; and Alexis Morris scored four runs. North plays at home against Island Coast on Friday.

American Heritage 11, Bishop Verot 1 (5): The Vikings fell to 3-5 with a road loss.

Gateway Charter 10, North Fort Myers 9: Gateway (7-5) scored the winning run in the top of the seventh inning. The Red Knights slipped to 6-4 with their second loss this week.

Baseball

Cape Coral 1, Ida Baker 0: Daniel Valdes drove in Jason Slater for a run in the top of the second inning, and Seahawks pitcher Andrew Jaffarian made it stand up for a District 6A-11 win. Jaffarian went the distance, striking out 10 while allowing two hits and two walks as the Gators (9-1, 4-1) edged Ida Baker (4-6, 1-3).

Island Coast 7, North Fort Myers 5: The Gators held off a late North rally to remain atop District 6A-11 (8-0, 5-0). Chase Chatman was the winning pitcher, with Julio Castro getting the last out for a save. Island Coast led 7-0 going to the sixth inning. The Red Knights slipped to 6-3, 4-3.

Cypress Lake 15, Mariner 3 (5): Donnie Goodman had an RBI for Mariner (1-6, 0-5 District 6A-11), Cypress Lake is 7-3, 3-0. Goodman was one of six Tritons with a hit in the game. The Panthers had 14 hits.

Softball

Mariner 17, Cypress Lake 0: Hannah Holloway pitched a no-hitter for the Tritons (8-5, 4-1 District 6A-11), striking out six batters. Holloway and Alayna Martin had three hits each for Mariner. The Panthers fell to 1-8, 0-4.

Cape Coral 4, Ida Baker 1: The Seahawks scored three runs in the top of the seventh for the victory. Avery Mytnik struck out 14 Ida Baker batters as Cape Coral (6-4, 3-3 District 6A-11) dropped Ida Baker to 0-14, 0-7. Tara Striggow was 2 for 4 and Peyton Helton was 2 for 3 at the plate for the Seahawks.

North Fort Myers 17, Island Coast 0 (4): The Red Knights (9-1, 7-0 District 6A-11) scored 10 runs in the first two innings. Leadoff hitter Sajarie Jones had 4 hits, 4 stolen bases and 4 runs scored; Natavia Ellis had 3 hits, including a home run with three runs scored and 4 RBI; Haley Weaver had 2 hits, 2 walks and 4 runs scored; and Emma Johnson had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Three North pitchers combined on a two-hitter, with Sydney Morris (4-0) getting the win over Island Coast (4-8, 2-4).

Oasis 15, Gateway Charter 0 (4): The Sharks (4-6, 1-1 District 4A-5) dropped Gateway to 0-9, 0-2.
