Cape 1st United Methodist Church to hold Cape Coral Charity Car Show Feb. 17

Cape Coral 1st United Methodist Church has announced that it will be holding a Cape Coral Charity Car Show Saturday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Jaycee Park.

The cost is a $20 donation for show cars/trucks on the day of the show, and a $5 donation for spectator parking.

The Cape Coral Charity Car Show is sponsored by the Cape Coral First United Proceeds from the show, which is being sponsored buy CCFUM as part of its community outreach program, will benefit the Cape Coral Caring Center.

Last year the Caring Center delivered over 145 tons of food to more than 5,000 families in Cape Coral, according to corrector Julie Ferguson.

The Caring Center was open the day after Hurricane Irma to serve those in need, despite significant damage to the building. In existence since 1990, the Caring Center was founded by the Cape Coral Ministerial Association to address emergency needs of Cape residents.

This is the second year of the event and co-sponsorships from local businesses has increased. The Gunterberg Charitable Foundation is once again the Gold Sponsor and will award the Best in Show trophy.

Other business sponsors include O'Reilly Auto Parts, Family Hardware, ACRA Electric, RE/MAX Realtors, Trebing Tile, Diamonds by Diane, FOS Furniture, Downtowner Car Wash and Prestige Automotive.

There are over 20 co-sponsors who will be presenting trophies to participants.
