FSW men blow out ASA

The No. 15 FSW men's basketball team scored 100 points for the third consecutive game and recorded eight dunks in a blowout, 102-64, win over ASA (Miami) at Florida Memorial University on Monday night .

The Buccaneers, who are ranked No. 5 last week's FCSAA NJCAA Region 8 Men's Basketball Coaches' Poll, improve to 8-0 on the season with the win, while ASA falls to 3-5.

For the third straight game, the Bucs shot a high percentage from the field, knocking down 40-of-71 shots (56.3 percent), including shooting a blazing 70.3 percent (26-of-37) in the first half.

Sophomore Tremell Murphy finished with a game-high 22 points, eight boards and three blocks. Sophomore ShanQuan Hemphill added 17 points and four rebounds. Freshman Charles Manning Jr. chipped in with 16 points and nine boards, while freshman Maddox Daniels tallied 13. Sophomore Tyler Cheese finished with 14 points, a game-high seven assists and six rebounds.

The Bucs are back in action this weekend (Dec. 1-2) when they host another FSW Classic at Suncoast Credit Union Arena. FSW will face Santa Fe on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
