Kruse becomes NFM’s all-time leading scorer

In North Fort Myers' 13-0 soccer victory over Dunbar Monday, Taylor Kruse, who scored three goals, became the top scorer in Red Knights' girls soccer history with 105 career tallies.

Emilie Hauser also had a hat trick, and four assists to boot for the Red Knights (3-0, 2-0 District 3A-13). Senior Kenzi Walden scored her first career goal for North, which travels to Gulf Coast on Tuesday.

Girls Soccer

Mariner 4, Cypress Lake 0: Junior Taylor Yount posted her fourth hat trick of the season, and senior Cassidee Rentsch also scored for the Tritons (4-1-1, 2-0 District 3A-13) Yount 's first goal came off a sterling pass by senior Aryana Saenz. Senior goaltender Aceyla Aydogmus recorded her fifth shutout in six games. Mariner plays at Lehigh on Tuesday.

Cape Coral 3, South Fort Myers 0: Cape Coral improved to 4-0-1. The Seahawks have not allowed an opponent goal so far this season. Cape's next scheduled game is Nov. 28 at Island Coast.

Oasis 8, Imagine School 0: Oasis scored four times in each half of the non-district victory in North Port. The Sharks (4-1) next play Nov. 28 against Clewiston.

Boys soccer

Cape Coral 3, South Fort Myers 2: Jacob Jiminez, Juan Parra and Jeremy Jiminez scored for the Seahawks (6-0) in a non-district match against South Fort Myers. Wildro Pierre assisted on Parra's and Jacob Jiminez's goals, and Jacob Baker got an assist on Jeremy Jiminez's score. Cape plays at Estero on Tuesday.

Mariner 3, Cypress Lake 0: TJ McKay scored twice and Esteban Orjuela had a goal for the Tritons (5-0, 2-0 District 3A-13). Jason Arias had an assist. McKay has 14 goals in his team's five matches. Robert Quintanilla had two saves in goal for the shutout win. John Franco and Sebastian Lopez anchored the Mariner defense. The Tritons face Lehigh at home on Tuesday.

Port Charlotte 4, Island Coast 0: The Gators fell to 0-3 in District 3A-13. Island Coast is at home against Fort Myers on Tuesday.

Girls basketball

Cape Coral 55, North Fort Myers 22: The Seahawks opened their season with a dominating victory at North Fort Myers. Cape Coral's home opener is on Tuesday against Fort Myers.

Oasis 59, Seacrest 35: Four Sharks scored in double figures as Oasis opened its season with a victory. Aliyah Wilson had 12 points, four rebounds and five blocks to lead the Sharks. Maddie Chaney scored a team-high 14 points, while Dana Steve had 12 points and eight rebounds and Rylee Casey scored 10 points and blocked three shots. Oasis' next game is Nov. 28 at LaBelle.

Naples First Baptist 54, Island Coast 39: The Gators fell on the road in their season opener. Island Coast's next game is against Bushnell South Sumter in the Custom Apparel Beef O'Brady Thanksgiving Classic.
