African Children's Choir to perform Sunday at First Baptist Church

The African Children's Choir will be performing Sunday, Nov. 26, at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral, at 4117 Coronado Parkway.

The program features children's songs, traditional Spirituals and Gospel favorites. Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering is taken at the performance to support African Children's Choir programs, such as education, care and relief and development programs.

Music for Life, the parent organization for The African Children's Choir, works in seven African countries such as, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. MFL has educated over 52,000 children and impacted the lives of over 100,000 people through its relief and development programs during its history.

MFL purpose is to help create new leadership for tomorrow's Africa, by focusing on education.

The African Children's Choir is a nonprofit humanitarian and relief organization dedicated to helping Africa's most vulnerable children today so they can help Africa tomorrow.

'Holiday Stop N Shop' Dec. 2 at New Testament Baptist

A "Holiday Stop N Shop" to benefit Gifts for Hope will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at New Testament Baptist Church, 2805 N.E. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.

Santa will be on site from 11a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bring the kids for bounce house fun, a food truck, and for bargain hunters, shopping with your favorite direct sales companies. This also is a toy drive; donate an unwrapped toy or sponsor a child.

Gifts for Hope annually provides Christmas gifts for local children in need!

27th Annual Christmas Carol Sing Dec. 5

Celebrate the holidays and help feed the hungry by singing at the 27th Annual Christmas Carol Sing, sponsored by the Galloway Family of Dealerships, Tuesday, Dec. 5, at First Presbyterian Church, 2438 Second St. in downtown Fort Myers, between Lee Street and Royal Palm Avenue.

Admission is free, although organizers request voluntary donations of at least two cans of non-perishable food for The Soup Kitchen, operated by Community Cooperative, and a voluntary cash donation, if you can.

Because of the overwhelming popularity of the event, three sing-alongs are planned at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. The doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time.

The Christmas Carol Sing is a festival of holiday music and family fun.

29th Annual Gingerbread Craft Fair & Bazaar Dec. 2

The 29th Annual Gingerbread Craft Fair a& Bazaar will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m., at All Souls Episcopal Church, 14640 N. Cleveland Ave., North Fort Myers.

There will be a bake sale, gingerbread treats, outside crafters, jewelry, Christmas gift items and a gift basket raffle.
