Rivera selected for ABI's inaugural '40 Under 40' class

Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., this week announced that attorney Luis E. Rivera II has been selected to the American Bankruptcy Institute's ("ABI") Inaugural "40 Under 40" class, which recognizes 40 of the nation's top insolvency professionals under the age of 40. Honorees were selected by a steering committee composed of insolvency professionals and bankruptcy judges from throughout the country.

Rivera is a certified specialist in business and consumer bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification, one of only 12 attorneys in Florida who hold these dual certifications. He has experience in business litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' rights and insolvency counseling. In addition to his law practice, Rivera serves as a U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee. As a trustee, he is routinely involved in the liquidation of business enterprises, including the recovery and sale of assets; the investigation, development, and prosecution of litigation to recover funds for creditors; and the reconciliation and payment of claims held by creditors.

Allegiant expands service from Punta Gorda Airport

Punta Gorda Airport has announced new seasonal nonstop service through Allegiant to Omaha, Nebraska. Service begins Thursday, Dec. 14 with one-way fares as low as $41.

Dog Wash to benefit Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida Oct. 29 at Jill's Joint

Jill Heinzeroth, owner of Jill's Joint in Cape Coral, is hosting its 8th annual Dog Wash on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 889 N.E. 27th Lane in Cape Coral, in the North Cape Industrial Park off Andalusia Boulevard. The event will benefit Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida Inc. and run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For a $10 donation, services for any breed of dog include a bath, nail clipping and ear cleaning. All proceeds will go to benefit Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida Inc., a cause near and dear to Heinzeroth, who owns three rescued boxers and a Labrador retriever.
