Democrats disgrace America

July 22, 2016
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

Melania Trump stood before the American people, and poured her heart out in an attempt to describe her life's journey along with her platforms should she become the first lady. This very accomplished woman, who speaks five languages, lifted herself from poverty and despair, in an oppressive Communist country, to a position of respect and admiration.

Everything she talked about, relative to her activities should she become the wife of a president, were issues screaming for attention and resolve. Yes, these were the same issues discussed by Michele Obama eight years ago. And, yes she did use some of the language utilized by Michele Obama. And, yes, the promises made by Michele Obama were never full filled.

So what do the Democrats do? Instead of apologizing for failing to perform and saluting Mrs. Trump for recognizing the needs, they cry foul claiming that Obama's OWN the words used by Melania and it was a crime for her to focus with what was said, before.

How dopey can one be? The need is obvious. The Obamas promised and failed and, Mrs. Trump is willing to do the right thing and solve the problems.

And then, to compound the disgrace, the media chimes in with their sickening display of foolishness.

The issues that need exposure are: police being murdered, babies being slaughtered in the womb, a national debt spinning out of control, the war against ISIS, illegal immigration, failing our veterans, job creation...and other IMPORTANT issues.

Two or three lines in a 30-minute speech which may or may not be a duplicate of words spoken eight years ago...this is not problematic in today's troubled world. As for the media, shame on some idiots for printing this garbage. It's no wonder that circulations are dropping. The media needs to stop filling space in their newspapers with this kind of childish nonsense and begin focusing on things that make a difference and where exposure will serve to make for a better America and world.
