S.W FL Free Pain Clinic offers whole person-body, mind, soul, and spirit health/wellness care. Its mission is "to treat those suffering from pain and without finances or insurance to pay for services." The clinic is non profit, licensed by the Florida Deptartmebt of Health, free, and is staffed by both volunteer lay and healthcare provides.

Clinic hours are Tues. 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

n LGBT grief support group

Hope HealthCare Services is offering a weekly lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender grief support group at noon on Wednesdays at its community center at 13821 N. Cleveland Avenue in North Fort Myers.

Open to the community at no cost, the LGBT grief support group provides an opportunity to discuss feelings of loss and learn from the experiences of others. To attend, call Tricia Betters-Black, LCSW, ACHP-SW at 239-985-2485.

With generous community support, Hope is able to offer additional grief counseling programs including support for adults, teens and children, bereaved mothers, and those who have experienced the suicide of a loved one, as well as crisis support for community schools and businesses. Upcoming events are Juniper Village at Cape Coral include:

* Music & Memories "Alive Inside" Screening. This film dramatically portrays the power of music and memory and the astounding effects that music has on "seniors". Light refreshments will be served on July 7th from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. (RSVP by today, July 6, to 239-542-3121.)

* 9th Annual Boogie Woogie Happy Hour. Swing on over and enjoy the sounds of musicians Bob and Joan as they entertain with their rendition of R&B songs from the past on July 15 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In keeping with this month's Juniper Village theme, "volunteerism," they will be collect donations of sun block, hand sanitizer and chap stick, which will be delivered to our troops overseas by the Red Cross.

* How Volunteering Changed My Life, on July 19 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm., featuring a special guest speaker Linda, Juniper Village Connections Department volunteer.

Linda has Muscular Dystrophy and recently gave a very remarkable and touching speech to the members at the Lee County MDA about the life changing effect volunteering has brought to her and she is honored to give an encore of her speech at our community so that the people whose lives she touches each day can hear her powerful story on
