She noted that it is the fourth year for this Relay for Life fundraiser.

"He's done the concert each year," Biondi said.

Previously held at the Cultural Park Theater, it is its first year at the church.

"It's a little bit bigger venue," she said.

Born in Palermo, Italty, LoMonaco came to the United States at the age of 10. He is a classically influenced singer and songwriter with a repertoire of over a thousand songs in five languages.

"He's amazing," Biondi said. "He's like our local version of Andrea Bocelli."

From 6 to 7 p.m., the wine and cheese reception will take place.

"People can mingle and people can talk," she said.

The meet-and-greet will also be held before the performance begins at 7 p.m.

Biondi noted that LoMonaco will have CDs and merchandise for sale.

"Usually after the concert he's available to sign autographs and talk to people, too," she said.

During the performance's intermission, the silent auction will take place. According to Biondi, attendees can bid on gift baskets, a painting and more, with the winners notified at that time.

"We've got a few items," she said. "It'll be things that people like."

Tickets for the concert cost $25 per person.

"You just sit there and relax and enjoy, and at the same time you're giving to such a great cause," Biondi said.

For the first time this year, the Relay for Life of Cape Coral will be held within the South Cape. The fundraising event will kick off on April 23 at noon at Four Freedoms Park, at 4818 Tarpon Court.

Team Friends is also hosting a fundraiser called Wrap the Cape in Purple. The team is selling handmade, 8-inch purple bows for people to display outside of their homes and businesses.

The bows are available for $3 each or two for $5; cash and checks are accepted.

To purchase concert tickets or the purple bows, contact Raso Realty at (239) 542-2254 or stop by the office at 4812 Cape Coral St. People can also contact Linda Biondi directly at (239) 246-1157.

Faith Presbyterian Church is at 4544 Coronado Parkway.
