Lee County Commissioner Brian Hamman to address Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association

Lee County Commissioner Brian Hamman will address the Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association at its Thursday, Jan. 21, meeting.

"Key issues likely to be discussed include the Northwest spreader ecosystem and restoration of tidal flows, the Northwest spreader barrier/boat-lift status, additional Northwest spreader dredging toward Matlacha, Burnt Store Road widening and future extension north to the county line, potential Kismet extension, and a possible future exit off of I-75 that leads straight to Cape Coral," according to an association release.

Following Hamman's presentation and questions, the Development Review Subcommittee will report on its findings regarding modular home construction.

The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Christa McAuliffe Elementary Charter School, 2817 S.W. 3rd Lane. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for sign-in, neighborhood networking, and membership renewals. To be eligible for membership, members must reside or own property within Cape Coral city limits and be located north of Pine Island Road and west of El Dorado Blvd.

NWNA was formed by area residents in 2002 to provide an open forum for discussion of issues of general importance to northwest Cape Coral. For more information about NWNA, visit www.nwcape.com or email nwna@nwcape.com.
