Dr. Alan Davick, a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician, has taught parents and professional colleagues how to recognize and manage complex misbehavior in children for 40 years. Trained at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Dr. Davick has maintained clinical practice throughout those years. He has, as a Major in the Army Medical Corps, served as Pediatrician-in-Chief at Tuttle Army Health Clinic, Savannah GA and later, while engaged in private Pediatric practice, as Behavioral-Developmental Consultant to the Chatsworth School for Exceptional Children, in Baltimore County, MD. Dr. Davick has focused his knowledge and experience on separating innate conditions like AD(H)D, Bipolar Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay and Epilepsy, masquerading as willful misbehavior, from truly volitional misconduct, like Oppositional-Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorders. - FSW State College to host 'Family Math Night'

The Florida SouthWestern State College School of Education will present "Family Math Night" on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 5:45 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., in Building U at the FSW Thomas Edison Campus, 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers. Students in kindergarten through the fifth grade are encouraged to attend this free family-oriented event centered on fun math games.

The purpose of the event is to show students and parents that math is fun! Attending families will play games created by FSW School of Education teacher candidates. This free event is open to the public. Students are encouraged to register at .

- 12th Annual Everyone Rides

The 12th annual Everyone Rides multi-event fundraiser, sponsored by Ted Todd Insurance, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6, at JetBlue Park, 11500 Fenway South Drive in Fort Myers. Come out and enjoy the day while biking, running, eating, and relaxing. This family friendly event will feature fun for all ages as well as a classic car show. Tickets start as low as $10 and can be purchased at

Everyone Rides also includes Everyone Runs and Everyone Relax and supports the programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County, which provide safe and supportive low-cost community afterschool enrichment programs to an estimated 1,300 Lee County children each year.

Everyone Rides offers family-friendly, non-competitive multi-distance bike rides throughout Southwest Florida starting at 7:30am. Riders may choose from four distances: 15, 30, 62, or 80. The Lee County Sheriff's Office will be escorting the longer 62 and 80-mile routes along with professional cyclists Kristin Harvey, Ted King riding for Cannondale-Garmin, Isaac Howe, and Bobby Sweeting, as well as 2000 Nascar Sprint Cup Champion Bobby Labonte!

Everyone Runs offers a family-fun 5k run starting at 7:30 a.m. All finishers will get to run through the stadium and cross home plate at the finish line and receive finishers' medals.

Everyone Relax welcomes attendees at 8 a.m, with wholesome food from some of Southwest Florida's most popular eateries, a kid zone that will have tons of fun activities like bounce houses and laser tag, and a health, lifestyle, and fitness expo, sponsored by Fit Nation Magazine, with offerings from vendors including prizes, raffles, free drawings, and a silent auction. This year, a classic car show has also been added!

VIP pricing to both active events includes entrance to the exclusive Peloton Party sponsored by Kelly, Passidomo & Alba, LLP in Naples on Dec. 4 and a special ride and an all-you-can-eat pasta lunch with the professionals in Fort Myers on Dec. 5.

- Financial Aid Nights

To assist students and families, Lee County Public Schools, with the help of a local financial aid expert, will be hosting several Financial Aid Nights.

The remaining events will be held in the school's auditorium and will run from 6- 8 p.m. as follows:

* Tuesday, Nov. 17, at South Fort Myers High School, 14020 Plantation Road, Fort Myers

* Thursday, Nov. 19, at Lehigh Senior High School,901 Gunnery Road N., Lehigh Acres

While the events are scheduled at high schools in all three attendance zones, parents are invited to attend whichever event is convenient for them. Those attending the meetings will learn about the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form and steps they need to take to help their children receive financial aid from postsecondary institutions (colleges, community colleges, high tech centers, etc.) College financial aid experts will cover the definition of financial aid, how to apply, deadlines, step-by-step instructions for completing the FAFSA, Bright Futures and state aid versus federal aid and more.
