Fort Myers Technical College to hold career fair for students and employers Oct. 30

Fort Myers Technical College will offer students and employers the opportunity to network during the Fall 2015 Career Fair Exploring Employment Opportunities Oct. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., to be held at the Campus Courtyard at Fort Myers Technical College. The career fair will provide local and national businesses with a premier opportunity to recruit leading candidates in all fields.

Company representatives from a wide range of industries will be in attendance, including A&E Factory Service, All Service Electric of Fort Myers, Bridgestone Retail Operations, Bruno Air Conditioning, Caliber Collision, CareerSource, E-1 Machine, Exelon Corporation, Health Force, Kelly Services, Lee County Clerk of Courts, Lee Memorial Health System, LeeSar, LegalShield, Lowe's Home Improvement, Sears, Seminole Gaming and Casino, Shell Point Retirement Community and SunStream Hotels and Resorts. One of the participating companies, Exelon Corporation, will be traveling from Baltimore, Maryland specifically to meet students in Fort Myers Technical College's Turbine Generator Maintenance, Inspection and Repair program.

"The purpose of this event is to connect employers with potential employees our students," said Michele Witlin, career specialist at Fort Myers Technical College, in a prepared statement. "We are looking forward to exposing our students to the many employment opportunities available to them, both locally in Southwest Florida and nationally."

Set up will begin at 10 a.m. and the fair will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch is available for $8 per person with advance registration.
