The Florida Everblades once again are honoring veterans and military personnel when they host the Orlando Solar Bears at Germain Arena on Saturday.

The Blades (3-2) have won two games in a row at Orlando with a third matchup tonight before the teams come to Germain Arena for a venue change on Saturday.

The Blades will wear military themed jerseys during the game, which is set to begin at 7 p.m. These special jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the game with proceeds benefiting The National Coalition for Patriots.

The National Coalition for Patriots is a national organization founded and based in Southwest Florida. The organization is determined to help our veterans by reaching out to the community to offer financial, emotional, and social assistance to veterans.

"We are once again excited to partner with the Everblades for what will be our fourth Veterans Weekend," said National Coalition For Patriots president Dan Ashby. "It has grown each year, and it's awesome to see how two great organizations work together to bring attention to our local veterans."

The team also announced a special discounted ticket offer for Saturday's game. Fans can purchase a normal $20 ticket for just $15, and $5 off each ticket sold will be donated to the National Coalition for Patriots.

Veterans and military personnel will be honored throughout the game. A tailgate party outside the arena begins at 5 p.m. which features live music, bounce houses and face painting for the kids.

After Saturday's game, the Everblades strike out on a five-game, 10-day road trip to South Carolina and Gwinnett (Ga.).
