This month's topic is "Cancer and Nutrition" and will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, at noon, at the Wellness Center of Cape Coral, 609 SE 13th Court, Cape Coral.

The word "cancer" brings on so many thoughts and emotions. As we know, cancers cause so many health problems today and all we seem to be doing is research to develop new drugs and treatments for cancer. The statistics show that the incidence of many cancers is still increasing. Therefore, it is important to work on understanding what things might contribute to the development of cancer and what things we can possible do to decrease the risk. There is much data to support the association between nutrition and cancer.

Dr. Sal is board certified in internal medicine and has been in practice since 1993. He is passionate about preventive health care and shares his knowledge of simple and effective ways to age gracefully and healthfully.

Seating is limited and reservations are requested. Please call 424-3232 or via email to
