Despite a less-than-best-effort Wednesday afternoon, Ida Baker came away with a 17-stroke victory at Palmetto Pines Country Club over crosstown rivals Mariner and Island Coast.

Alec DiLallo's 3-over-par round of 39 claimed medalist honors in leading the Bulldogs (171) past the Tritons (188) and Island Coast (228).

Ross Lally backed DiLallo's medalist round by carding a 40.

Chris Spoone led the Tritons with a round of 42 while Brandon Mitchell shot 52 to top Island Coast's top foursome.

"It was not our best effort, and I don't think it was a good effort for Mariner, either," said Bulldogs coach Scott Conforte. "We just weren't as bad as Mariner."

The Bulldogs (4-2) host North Fort Myers and Gateway Charter on Tuesday once again at Palmetto Pines.
