Ann Harger, 92, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014.
She was born Antoinette Ann Addalia of Linden, N.J., Oct. 11, 1921, and moved to Cape Coral in 1971.
She is survived by her loving family, sons, Ed (Celeste), Bill and Micheal (Amy) Harger; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; brother, Tony (Margret) Addalia; and sister-in-law, Madeline Addalia.
Those who have gone before her are her parents, Joseph A. and Santa Addalia; and brothers, Charles, and his wife Mary, and Joseph M. Addalia.
While growing up in the floral business, she had many interests, some of them were painting, sculpting, porcelain figure draping, ceramics, baking and cake decorating as well as, in later years, quilting. While in Cape Coral she owned and operated Addalia's Floral Shop. After retiring, she traveled and furthered her talents in multiple techniques in painting and quilting.
She served as past officer of Linden Chapter 595, Women of Moose and was past president of the Women's Auxiliary of Linden Lion's Club.
While living in New Jersey, she taught cake decorating and fancy foods at Middlesex County Vocational School in Woodbridge. She also had her own business, "Kandy and Kakes," in which she produced a wide variety of fancy cakes and candies as well as holding private classes to teach others.
She will be missed by many but knowing she is at peace with the Lord is a great comfort to all.
