Defenseman Cameron Burt agreed to terms with the Florida Everblades this week.

Burt, 27, returns to the Blades after posting six points (1g, 5a) in 14 games last spring. Burt was acquired on March 13 from the Ontario Reign where he totaled 22 points (5g, 17a) in 32 games. In addition, the 5-10, 170-pound blueliner collected six points (1g, 5a) in nine games with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

"Cameron is a highly skilled two-way defenseman," said Blades coach Greg Poss. "He brought a lot to our power play after we acquired him last spring, and we are happy to be able to bring him back for the upcoming season."

Burt posted a career-best 38 points (2g, 36a) in 61 appearances with Ontario during the 2012-13 season.

Burt is the 12th player to agree to terms with the Everblades for the 2014-15 season.
