Want lower taxes? Vote

August 14, 2014
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

The recent fire assessment tax was passed by Cape Coral City Council by a vote of 6-2, also the 7 percent increase (on top of 3 percent tax that was already there)on your electric bill was passed by a 6-2 vote.

So what did our Cape Coral voters do? They voted the 2 no votes off council!!!!

Who were these Einsteins? They are the special interest groups of the city and the city admin people who control the taxpayers' monies with one goal in mind -that's right, to get more of your money to spend.

In 2015 there will be four seats up for grabs, but who will vote? That's right, the special interest people.

Wake up Cape Coral, you need a kick in the rear and a slap in the face. We can take this city back and reverse these ludicrous taxes. Get involved - if you don't vote your pocket will be the ultimate loser.
