Leave it to the Fort Myers Miracle staff to schedule the first ever fireworks show at JetBlue Park. It coincides with the Miracle's home-away-from-home game Saturday night against the Palm Beach Cardinals.
Due to Phase II of the Hammond Stadium renovations, the Miracle are playing the remainder of their home games and postseason at JetBlue located east of I-75 on Daniels Parkway.
Saturday is designated as Fan Appreciation Night. Gates open at 5 p.m. for a 6:05 p.m. start with the Cardinals. After the final out, the Miracle will unleash a massive pyrotechnics display from beyond center field.
"We would like to thank the best fans in the Florida State League with our largest fireworks show of the year," said general manager Andrew Seymour. "We hope our fans and local community will continue to support our quest for a championship in this year's home playoff games beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 3."
Fans can save money by purchasing tickets in advance at the team store at JetBlue Park or at the Miracle offices located on the first floor of the Twins Player Academy at the Lee County Sports Complex. Tickets also can be ordered over the phone at (239) 768-4210 or online at www.miraclebaseball.com.
All seats are general admission at JetBlue Park for Miracle games. Lower bowl seats for Saturday are $9.50 in advance, $11 day of the game. Upper bowl seats are $7.50 in advance and $9 at the gate.
The Miracle (30-23, 71-51 overall) wrapped up their five-game series with the Mets Thursday night after splitting two with the Mets Wednesday.
The Mets took Game 1, and third in a row at JetBlue, 6-1 before the Miracle posted their first JetBlue victory 7-3 in the nightcap. The third-place Miracle open a three-game series with the second-place Cardinals on Friday.
