A new way for the City of Cape Coral to get money from residents?

July 31, 2014
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

Now the mayor wants to register people who live together for a fee? Will the Cape ever do anything for the residents for free? Think not in this life time.

The city took the storm water fees which were to go back to ratepayers and said they bought land for parks? They can't even maintain the parks they have. Look at Sun Splash - never made a profit since it has been open, and the way they run it never will.

And now we have all the fees from this gang, fire assesment, tax on phone, cable, and electric. What will be next? I am sure they are working on it.

Will the Cape ever be able to have a budget they can work with? And not charge the residents for all these extra fees?

Also the nice 5 percent raise proposed for all Cape employees. The mayor and friend are not working for the residents -she is working for the people who voted her in office, the unions and employees. So you know she is going to take good care of them.

Hope next time people in the Cape vote and stop this mess we have in City Hall.
