Golfers passionate about both improving their swing and caring for struggling mothers are invited to hit the course with PGA Pro Jim Coles on Sept. 22 for the second annual Day of Golf fundraiser benefitting Verity Pregnancy and Medical Resource Center.
Tee off is at 7:30 a.m. at Pelican Preserve. Golfers receive a cart, three meals, and on-course guidance and tips by Coles on every aspect of their game while they play a full day of golf. There is no charge to participate, but golfers are encouraged to collect pledges to help Verity assist local women facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Verity is a nonprofit organization that provides free pregnancy and ultrasound testing, counseling and material assistance to pregnant women who need assistance to deliver and care for their babies.
Coles is a PGA of America instructor and founder of Golf PRO Marathons, specializing in on-course instruction. He was awarded the SCPGA Northern Chapter Player of the Year award in 1988 and 1996.
Tiger Woods' first coach, Rudy Duran, called him "an accomplished player and a very knowledgeable coach."
